Raiders target Dundalk bookmakers

There has been an armed raid on a bookmakers in Dundalk.

Two men wearing motorcycle helmets entered the Paddy Power shop on Park St in the town at a 5.45pm today.

An eyewitness reported one of them was carrying a sawn-off shotgun.

The pair threatened staff and jumped the counter before making off with what is being described as a substantial sum of money.
