Police in the North have arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with the murder of Danny McGurk in west Belfast earlier this year.

The man was arrested yesterday and is also being questioned about other serious paramilitary offences.

Mr McGurk, a 35-year-old father-of-six, was shot dead in front of his family at his home in Ross Road on the morning of August 17.

Police believe the shooting was carried out by dissident republicans and may have been a punishment attack that got out of hand.
