Gardaí launch murder hunt after shooting

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot in Mulhuddart in Co Dublin this afternoon.

The man died in hospital after he was shot at about 4pm in an open area between Wellview Estate and Mulhuddart Village.

The man in his 20's was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown with leg injuries where he later died.
