PSNI investigate abduction attempt

Police were tonight investigating a bid to abduct two young sisters in Belfast.

The incident happened as the girls, aged 12 years and 10, were walking in the Stewartstown Road this afternoon.

A car with two women inside stopped, and one of the occupants asked for directions.

The girls ran off when one of the women opened a door. The car followed the girls for a short distance afterwards before speeding away.
