'People-smuggling' ship detained

Gardaí and customs officials were tonight preparing to board a Mongolian-registered ship suspected of being involved in people trafficking.

The 40-metre cargo vessel The Unique was at anchor in Dublin Bay, a mile off the port of Dun Laoghaire, and police were expected go on board after the arrival of an Irish Naval Service craft, the Aoife.
