Environmental enforcement office opens today

The new Office of Environmental Enforcement opens today in Wexford.

The office will be authorised to impose fines of up to €15m on businesses convicted of environmental pollution.

The OEE is a unit of the Environmental Protection Agency and takes over responsibility for serving warnings and prosecuting persons or businesses who are found to be polluting the environment.
