Gardaí involved in 200 road accidents last year

The office of the Comptroller and Auditor General has reported a three-fold increase in the number of road accidents involving Gardaí.

Figures published by the office show that Gardaí were involved in a total of 200 road accidents last year, compared to 86 in 2001.
