The Unmarried and Separated Fathers of Ireland group is due to mount a protest against Irish family law outside the Dáil today.

The group said laws dealing with the custody of children are outdated and discriminate in favour of mothers and against fathers.

It wants the Government to honour family law commitments it signed up to in the UN Declaration on Human Rights.

Today’s protest is timed to coincide with European Civil Justice Day.
