Teachers concerned about Northern bus strike

The National Association of Head Teachers in the North has expressed concern that a planned strike by bus drivers could affect children sitting the 11-plus exam next month.

The association said up to 65,000 children could be affected by the withdrawal of school bus services during the planned strike.

Citybus and Ulsterbus workers are planning a series of one-day stoppages every Friday between now and November 10 as part of a pay dispute with their employers.
