The students union at University College Dublin is conducting an on-campus referendum this week to decide if Coca Cola products should be banned in the union’s shops at the university.

The students who arranged the referendum have accused Coca Cola of complicity in the assassination of at least nine trade union leaders at the company’s bottling plants in Colombia since 1989.
