Carers want means test on pay eliminated

The Carers Association are renewing demands that the government eliminate the means test that is being placed on their incomes.

Sean Gallagher who is chair of the Association claims they should be given parity with foster parents.

However, he says that no one becomes a carer by choice and that he has never met anyone who likes caring.

Mr Gallagher insists though that every successive government have abused the love that they show towards clients and patients.
