Massive backlog of sickness claims in Belfast
It is claimed a backlog in sickness benefit claims in Belfast was caused by a faulty new computer system.
Up to 2000 claims have built up, leaving staff at the Social Security Agency under pressure.
Problems in processing the cases arose when new software was introduced.
Payments are made to people unable to work for four or more days due to illness or disability, and who are not entitled to statutory sick pay.
