Fine Gael not impressed by inflation figures

Fine Gael says the Government's economic policy is unsustainable.

It follows the release of today’s inflation figures, showing the lowest annual rate in almost four years, at 2.9%.

But Fine Gael says while private sector inflation is running close to zero, Government policy is still causing problems elsewhere.

The party's Finance spokesman Richard Bruton is warning of additional difficulties after the budget.
