Gardaí have released the names of five people who lost their lives on Irish roads yesterday.

Wesley Conway, aged 19, of Cranmore Drive in Sligo, died yesterday evening following an accident in Maugheraboy on Friday night.

Shane Cooney, also aged 19, of Coachford in Co Cork, died when the car he was driving went out of control on the Millstreet to Rathmore Road at 3pm, yesterday evening.

Also in Cork, 25 year-old Collette Briscoe of Portumna in Galway, died early yesterday at Parkadallane in Mallow.

The names of the two men killed outside Tipperary town yesterday evening have been released as 41 year-old Patrick Kennedy of Clonoulty and 25 year-old Neil McCormack of Oola, Co Limerick.

A sixth accident took place in Galway this morning. The 36 year-old driver died at the scene when a car, carrying three people hit a wall in Oranmore.
