Woman dies in road accident in Cork

Gardaí in Cork are investigating a fatal road accident in which a 25 year-old woman died earlier today.

The three-car accident happened at Parkadallane in Mallow just before 2pm this afternoon.

The young woman was a front seat passenger in one of the cars.

One other person sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Cork University hospital for treatment.

There were two fatalities on the roads in Cork today. A man died in a single vehicle accident at Rathduane on the Millstreet to Rathmore road at 3.15pm this afternoon.
