The President of the Irish Hospital Consultants Association has called on the Government to provide hospitals with staff, beds and equipment.

Dr Colm Quigley says the response of the State so far has been merely to talk about and not act on how they should manage the health sector.

Speaking at the annual conference of the IHCA in Limerick this afternoon, Dr Quigley said nothing was happening to make the need for more key resources a reality.
