ERHA spends €3.7m to tackle alcohol abuse

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has announced plans to spend €3.7m on combating alcohol abuse.

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has announced plans to spend €3.7m on combating alcohol abuse.

The authority said that the money would be spent on expanding and developing existing services and refurbishing residential treatment units.

The ERHA said alcohol abuse was costing Irish society €2.4bn annually.
