Minister defends abuse commission changes

Education Minister Noel Dempsey has defended his plans to change the remit of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse.

Speaking in the Dáil today, Mr Dempsey admitted that costs were a major factor in his decision to review how the commission carries out its work.
