The Irish Nurses Organistaion last night called for an investigation by the Health and Safety Authority into overcrowding at the Accident and Emergency departments of Dublin's main hospitals.

The Irish Nurses Organistaion last night called for an investigation by the Health and Safety Authority into overcrowding at the Accident and Emergency departments of Dublin's main hospitals.

The INO said emergency exits were blocked yesterday in James Connolly hospital in the A&E unit as patients were left on trolleys and chairs.
