Minister announces fairground safety rules

The Environment Minster has announced new safety regulations governing fairground equipment.

Martin Cullen said it is important members of the public are not exposed to danger arising from substandard apparatus.

Owners and organisers of funfairs will have to be able to produce a valid safety certificate to operate funfair equipment in Ireland.
