INO to hold protest outside Dublin hospital

The Irish Nurses Organisation is due to hold a demonstration outside Peamount Hospital in Dublin today to protest plans to stop TB treatment services.

The INO said the plans meant TB patients at Peamount would have to be moved to acute facilities elsewhere in the country.

It claimed this would increase the risk of spreading the highly infectious disease.

The hospital has described the claims as alarmist.
