Taoiseach calls for reform of UN

The Taoiseach has told the United Nations that it needs to be reformed.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, Mr Ahern said the Irish Government is very concerned at the practice of pre-emptive strikes as a form of self-defence.
