A Kerry man has been found guilty of the manslaughter of his 69-year-old uncle whose body was discovered in a well on the family farm on 1996.

At the Central Criminal Court this afternoon, after almost nine hours of deliberations over three days, a jury unanimously found that Eugene Daly (aged 29) of Doneen, Kilcummin, Killarney, was not guilty of murder but guilty of the manslaughter of Mr Patrick (Paddy) Daly at Doneen on January 18, 1996. He had denied the charge.
