Young Social Innovators 2004 launched
The Young Social Innovators of the Year 2004 has been launched today by Man United soccer star John O'Shea.
The programme is designed to build on social awareness aspect of the Transition Year curriculum.
Co-founder Sr Stan Kennedy says the YSI equips young people to become active citizens and to seek out ways to make a difference in their own lives: "The thinking behind it is that young people have many ideas, are full of idealism and are very generous and it's to create an opportunity to allow them to share that in their community"
