Ahern: Legal representation prompted Laffoy review

The Taoiseach has indicated that the high levels of legal representation prompted the second review of the Laffoy Commission into child abuse.

Mr Ahern said today that he never thought the number of individual cases would be so big.

Earlier this week the Minister for Education Noel Dempsey said all child abuse victims would get their respective compensation.

The Taoiseach said that the Government wants to address abuse cases in the most cost-effective way possible.
