The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has called for a pay freeze for all Irish workers following reports that the US multinational 3Com is planning to close its manufacturing plant in Dublin with the loss of 600 jobs.

The business organisation said the reported closure showed that the Government needed to review its entire job creation strategy.
