FG slams govt inaction on male/female pay gap
Fine Gael Senator Sheila Terry has criticised Junior Minister Willie O’Dea’s plan to commission further research into the pay gap between male and female college graduates.
Ms Terry claimed the move was a deliberate ploy to postpone real action to tackle the problem of male graduates earning more money than their female counterparts.
“I’m calling on the minister to implement the laws that are there right now and stop any notion of doing further research, because it’s not needed,” she said.
“We know the facts and the minister should too.”
