Search resumes for Mullingar man

Gardaí have this afternoon resumed their search for Derek Browne, a young man from Mullingar, who has been missing for more than three months.

The 27-year-old was last seen as he headed to Mullingar Pewter, where he worked, on the morning of June 6.

A Garda spokesperson said their sub aqua and civil defence units will be focusing the search on nearby woodlands and fields.

They will also be dredging the Royal Canal in Mullingar town.

Mr Browne is described as 5'10" in height and of medium build.

He was wearing a black bomber jacket, dark blue jeans and blue trainers on the morning he disappeared.
