Warning issued about unlicensed travel agents
Holidaymakers are being warned to ensure their travel agent or tour operator is properly licensed.
The Commission for Aviation Regulation said people should check that the company holds a current licence.
It is a legal requirement for anyone selling travel out of the Republic of Ireland.
The warning is especially relevant to people travelling abroad to attend sports or music events, or religious pilgrimages, as these are the sectors where most unlicensed operators are most commonly active.
