Extra funding available for back-to-school allowance

Minister for Social and Family Affairs Mary Coughlan has approved a 10% increase in the funding available this year for the back-to-school clothing and footwear allowance.

Under the scheme, parents can receive €80 for each child under the age of 12 and €150 for each child between the ages of 12 and 17.
