Man dies in Co Kilkenny car crash

A 20-year-old man has died after the van he was travelling in crashed in Co Kilkenny last night.

The accident happened just before 9pm in Attateenoe, on the road between Callan and Mullinahone.

The victim, a passenger in the van, was from Thurles in Co Tipperary.

The driver was also hurt in the crash and was taken to hospital in Waterford, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
