Gardaí in Co Tipperary have identified a woman found with memory loss in Urlingford almost six weeks ago following an appeal to the public yesterday.

Gardaí in Co Tipperary have identified a woman found with memory loss in Urlingford almost six weeks ago following an appeal to the public yesterday.

The woman, who is from Belfast, had claimed to be Elizabeth Sands, from Co Antrim, but gardaí said that was not her real name.

She had no recollection of how she came to be in the Urlingford area and has been in St Joseph's Hospital in Clonmel since she was found on July 7.

Her relatives travelled from the North to Clonmel today to meet her.
