Junior Minister Jim McDaid has announced plans to introduce stricter roadworthiness tests for commercial vehicles.

Mr McDaid, Minister of State for Transport with special responsibility for road traffic including road haulage - said the plans would include an increase in the frequency of testing for light goods vehicles (LGV).
