Cancer Society disappointed with Cullen comments

The Irish Cancer Society has expressed its disappointment with Environment Minister Martin Cullen's public opposition to the proposed ban on smoking in all workplaces.

Mr Cullen said this morning that he believed the ban was over-the-top and represented an importation of US political correctness.

However, the Irish Cancer Society said all Government ministers should support the proposed ban.
