Dempsey to redeploy surplus teachers

Education Minister Noel Dempsey has revealed plans to press ahead with a negotiated redeployment of teachers from overstaffed schools.

The minister was speaking following reports this morning that Ireland had around 250 more secondary school teachers than were needed.
