Children rescued off coast of Kerry

Two children playing on an inflatable dinghy were rescued by a passing boat after being swept out to sea by an offshore wind, rescuers said.

The youngsters drifted about a mile out from the coast in Brandon Bay, Co Kerry.

A swimmer tried to rescue the pair but was unable catch up with the inflatable and turned back.
