Garda traffic hotline to be extended nationwide

The Gardaí have announced plans to establish a nationwide hotline next month to allow motorists to report other road users who may be breaking the law.

Gardaí said a pilot scheme operated in the south-east of the country in recent months contributed to a 33% fall in the number of people seriously injured in road accidents.
