The Consumers' Association of Ireland has called for an investigation into whether Irish retailers have been involved in fixing the price of replica football team kits.

The British Office of Fair Trading today fined Manchester United, the Football Association in England and 10 businesses a total of more than £18m (€26m) for engaging in the practice.
