Millionaire to stop Irish colleges' donations
An Irish-American millionaire who has given millions of euros in donations to Irish colleges and universities has decided to end the funding.
Charles Feeney, who made his fortune in duty-free airport shops, said he had instead decided to channel his money into programmes for disadvantaged children, reconciliation and human rights on both sides of the Irish border.
Mr Feeney's donations were worth €59m to Irish colleges and universities last year.
