AA: Govt may raise petrol taxes

The Automobile Association has expressed fears that the Government may be planning to raise taxes on petrol and diesel in this year's budget to boost its finances.

AA spokesman Conor Faughnan said he feared the increased levies would be disguised as environmental taxes, but used to help the Government avoid a budget deficit.
