Crash victim stabbed to death in Limerick
Gardaí are investigating the odd circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Limerick last night.
Ambulance personnel from the Mid-Western Hospital had been called out to the scene of a single vehicle accident at the Roxboro roundabout just after 11pm.
It appeared that a man, in his 20s, had crashed his car into the roundabout.
However the ambulance crew discovered that he had also received stab wounds at the scene of the crash.
He died a short time later in hospital.
The scene has been preserved and gardaí are investigating the possibility that the man had been drink driving.
