Loyalist murder case opens in the North today

A 23-year-old man is due in court in the North today, charged with a murder linked to a loyalist feud.

Jonathon Stewart was shot dead at a party two days after Christmas last year, as he stood in the kitchen of a house in north Belfast.

The 22-year-old's death took place during a feud within the loyalist Ulster Defence Association.

Mr Stewart's family deny that he was involved with any paramilitary organisation.
