Gardaí probing the activities of a Naas General Hospital nurse have exhumed the body of an elderly man who had been a patient.

Gardaí probing the activities of a Naas General Hospital nurse have exhumed the body of an elderly man who had been a patient.

Gardaí exhumed the body of the man in his 70s, who died in the last few months, at a cemetery at Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, early this morning.

The body has been taken to a Dublin morgue.

The nurse in question was suspended recently after in investigation into the over-prescribing of medicine to patients at the hospital. Three cases are currently under inquiry.
