A 27-year-old Brazilian man is in a critical condition today after being stabbed in the chest and stomach in Co Meath last night.

A 27-year-old Brazilian man is in a critical condition today after being stabbed in the chest and stomach in Co Meath last night.

The incident happened in Beauparc, near Slane, at around 10.30pm.

The victim is being treated in Navan hospital.

A second Brazilian man is due to appear in court in connection with the stabbing this afternoon.
