Martin negotiates new discharge policy

Health Minister Micheál Martin has revealed that he is currently negotiating new discharge policies with various health boards in an effort to ease overcrowding in Ireland's hospitals.

The minister said he was discussing the possibility of introducing a new discharge system for elderly and other chronically sick patients in an effort to make more beds available.
