Unions and management discuss Waterford lay-offs

Unions representing workers at Waterford Crystal are due to meet the company's management today to discuss the 234 lay-offs announced last week.

Waterford Crystal is planning to shed 129 temporary jobs and 105 full-time positions as part of a cost-cutting plan designed to maintain the firm's competitiveness.
