Teenage girl dead after Mayo car collision

A teenage girl has died following a two-car collision in Co Mayo.

The 18-year-old was a passenger in one of the cars when the collision occurred yesterday evening at around 5pm at Creevagh, Ballyhane near Castlebar.

The girl was taken from the scene and died later at Mayo General Hospital.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
