The inquiry into the shooting of John Carthy by armed gardaí has been adjourned for a third consecutive day due to a legal argument over the recalling of witnesses.

Lawyers for 36 gardaí involved in the inquiry are seeking to have several senior officers and Mr Carthy's psychiatrist recalled to answer further questions at the Barr Tribunal.
