Shannon Development rues deteriorating economic climate

Shannon Development, the state agency responsible for industrial policy in the mid-west region, has described Ireland's current economic climate as the toughest for a long time.

The agency said many businesses in the mid-west were suffering due to the slowdown in the Irish economy.
