Lawlor 'has paid no tax on £100,000 fee'
Former Fianna Fáil TD Liam Lawlor has admitted that he has not yet paid capital gains tax on £100,000 he received three years ago as part payment for an acre of land attached to his home in Lucan, west Dublin.
Mr Lawlor told the Planning Tribunal today that his accountants had still not finalised his liability from the sale.
Yesterday, the Planning Tribunal asked Mr Lawlor if he would ask his British-based solicitor, Anthony Seddon, to testify before the tribunal.
The former Dublin west TD said he didn't see the relevance of Mr Seddon's potential evidence, but the tribunal pointed out that Seddon solicitors had been involved in several of Mr Lawlor's suspicious dealings.
